There are also activities in Pingding, Baoxu and other towns. According to legend, the ancient singing fairy Liu Sanmei traveled here and saw many insects damaging crops, so she sang folk songs to drive away the insects. When the local youth Niu Ge saw Liu Sanmei singing folk songs, he couldn't help but sing along. Over time, the two developed a deep affection and sang folk songs more tacitly. They sometimes sang in chorus and sometimes in duet. The beautiful and pleasant singing not only drove away the pests, but also promoted the growth of crops and ensured a good harvest. In order to commemorate the singing fairy Liu Sanmei, the villagers would choose a day to set up a wheat tower in the grain drying field after the summer sowing in June and July of the lunar calendar, sing the wheat tower song, and dance the wheat tower dance.
