Zhao Family Boxing and Stick
The history of Zhaojia boxing and stick is very long, which can be traced back to the late Tang Dynasty and early Song Dynasty. It was passed down from generation to generation by the He family of Tanxi. During the Xianfeng period, He Wenqing of Quanfan Village led the people to resist the tax and formed the "Lotus Party". Later, he moved to eastern Zhejiang. Huamingquan Village built a martial arts temple and hired martial arts masters. The side of Zhaojia boxing and stick that focused on actual combat has been greatly developed in constant exchanges and collisions. The strong martial arts atmosphere gave birth to the martial arts master He Changhai and the Kuomintang Lieutenant General He Jingwu. After liberation, the martial arts of Quanfan and Huamingquan villages are still inherited and occasionally show their prowess in various regional martial arts competitions. In 2003, at the "Rui Wang Cup" Zhejiang International Martial Arts Conference and Zhejiang Traditional Martial Arts Competition held in Ruian, He Futian and He Canyu, villagers of Huamingquan, won the first place in three martial arts competitions and won 4 gold medals. In 2006, they won the singles gold medal and doubles silver medal in the Second Zhejiang International Traditional Martial Arts Conference in Hangzhou. Zhaojia boxing and stick uses clan bloodline as a channel for transmission, actual combat application as the main purpose (later derived into performance), and "respecting martial arts and advocating morality" as the ideological essence. It has been continuously developing and self-improving, exhausting the wisdom of dozens of generations of martial arts masters, integrating the essence of martial arts from all over the country, and finally forming a huge, complete and independent martial arts system. Including guns, knives (single knife, double knife, broadsword), nail forks, fireballs (single meteor, double meteor), etc.; middle plate, including sticks (single-head stick, hanging stick, clamp gun), set fists (big and small five fists, big and small white tiger fists), plate five, thousand grasping hands, Wu Song's handcuffs, reverse angle short fight, thirty-six boots, plum blossom knot top, etc.; breaking array, there are four-door knife (commonly called "open four doors"), circle array, change array, Yuanbao array, etc. In June 2012, it was included in the fourth batch of Zhejiang Province Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
