The temple fair on March 28 of the lunar calendar in Shuanggou Town, Sihong County, also known as the Shuanggou "3.28" temple fair, originated in the Song Dynasty and originated from the Taoist worship of the God of Mount Tai. According to the "Sihong Hezhi", a Dongyue Great Emperor Temple was built in the Song Dynasty on Dongshantou, Shuanggou Town. In order to commemorate the birthday of Dongyue Great Emperor, and the villagers to pray for children, blessings, wealth and peace, they would rush to the Dongshantou Great Emperor Temple in Shuanggou Town on March 28 of the lunar calendar every year to burn incense and worship. This has been passed down from generation to generation without interruption. In the Ming Dynasty, after the Dongyue Great Emperor Temple was destroyed in war, the good men and women and the people changed to the Baoen Temple in Xishantou, Shuanggou Town to burn incense and worship Buddha, engage in business and trade, and carry out folk cultural activities. This has lasted for more than a thousand years, forming the famous Shuanggou "3.28" temple fair. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, people gave new meaning to temple fairs. In addition to a few people going to Xishantou Baoen Temple to burn incense and pray for peace, cultural activities and commercial activities have become more lively and prosperous. Especially after the reform and opening up, every year on the "3.28" temple fair, more than 100,000 people from surrounding counties and cities come to Shuanggou to participate in temple fairs, business, and folk activities. Various traditional cultural activities compete with each other, and the turnover of goods reaches tens of millions of yuan. During the "3.28" temple fair, Shuanggou Town has become a distribution center for small commodities and agricultural and sideline products.
