Luhe Folk Songs

Their characteristics are that they use more metaphors, the language is simple and easy to understand, and the rhyme is more particular. The first, second and fourth sentences have the same rhyme, and generally seven words are in one sentence. They are mostly solos or duets between men and women. The Hakka folk songs in Luhe are influenced by the folk songs in Xingmei area, inherit the characteristics of folk songs such as "five-sentence board", and have their own unique characteristics. The number of love songs is the largest, and their tones are high and long, stable and smooth, with a high pitch range, diverse rhythms and beats, and a variety of intonations. At present, all villages and towns in Luhe County have Luhe's unique folk songs. Many old artists who are familiar with Luhe folk songs are distributed in various villages. In recent years, with the attention of the county party committee and government, and through everyone's efforts, some Hakka folk songs have been innovatively arranged on the original basis and participated in national and multi-provincial and municipal competitions, winning many gold and silver awards. Luhe Hakka folk songs have a long history and unique characteristics. They are the crystallization of the wisdom of the people.
