The lyrics of Yanhe Tujia folk songs are generally in the structure of "seven words and four sentences and seven words and eight sentences". The modes are mostly Zheng mode and Yu mode, and the structure is a single-segment form. The singing technique of "sliding", "leaning", "trembling", "shouting" and "false voice" is used, with the combination of dragging, filling words and dialect.
