Lvjiahe folk songs are a kind of Han folk songs that are popular in Lvjiahe Village, Guanshan Town, Danjiangkou City, Hubei Province. The village is located in Wudang Mountain Scenic Area. Due to its isolated terrain, it has preserved a large number of original Han folk songs and folk singers. It is on the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list, Hubei Folk Song Village, and the first Han folk song village in China. The Han folk songs in Lvjiahe can be divided into three categories according to their content: Yin songs, Yang songs, and long narrative poems. The tunes of Lvjiahe folk songs are very beautiful, with both the lingering of Jiangnan minor songs and the boldness of northern folk songs; both the mellowness of Central Plains tunes and the high pitch of Northwest folk songs. Lvjiahe folk songs have a long history. The Book of Songs is the first collection of poems in China. "Guanju" is the opening of "The Book of Songs": "Guanju, on the island of the river, a beautiful lady, a gentleman's ideal match." And there is a folk song "It's Hard to Make Shoes for My Sister Every Year" that is still popular in the Lvjiahe area. The lyrics are: "Guanju, a pair of shoes, sent by the island of the river. It's hard for you, a beautiful lady, to make shoes for me every year." The lyrics of this folk song are very similar to the verses of "Guanju". Whether "Guanju" was a folk song processed by a collector based on "It's Hard to Make Shoes for My Sister Every Year" or "It's Hard to Make Shoes for My Sister Every Year" was a variation of "Guanju" in the folk, it shows that the two have a certain origin relationship. According to historical records, Yin Jifu, the Grand Tutor during the reign of King Xuan of Zhou, was both a collector of the "Book of Songs" and a person praised in the "Book of Songs". He was from Fangling. The Records of Fang County states: "Zhou, Yin Jifu, a native of Fangling, was collected in Fang during the reign of King Xuan, and poets wrote poems for him. He died in June and was buried in Qingfeng Mountain in Fang." Wudang Mountain is only 10 li away from the ancient Fangling, which shows that in the Western Zhou Dynasty before the Spring and Autumn Period, a large number of excellent ballads were preserved here, and the style of collecting poems was prevalent. The Wudang Taoist Temple began to be built in 627-649 (during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty), and it had a considerable scale by 960-1279 (the Song Dynasty). Wudang Mountain was renovated in the Yuan and Ming dynasties. 300,000 migrant workers were mobilized from all over China, which took 13 years. 300,000 migrant workers came from all over the country, and they also brought ballads from all over China. The tunes of Lvjiahe folk songs are very beautiful, with both the lingering of Jiangnan minor tunes and the boldness of northern folk songs; the mellowness of Central Plains tunes and the high pitch of Northwest folk songs. From the folk songs sorted out by Lvjiahe in the early 21st century, it can be seen that they are rich in content, beautiful in tune, and lively and diverse in singing. For example, "Yangge" is mainly about the love between men and women, involving all aspects of daily life. Most of them are humorous and witty. When getting married, they sing "Wedding Songs", "Dowry Songs", and "Crying Wedding Songs"; when celebrating the New Year, they sing "New Year Songs"; when living in a new house, they sing "Warming House Songs"; when drinking, they sing "Persuading Drinking Songs". For example, in "Bridal Chamber Songs", it is sung: "Sister has chosen only one brother, and will not change her mind even if thunder and lightning strike the earth. I hope that brother will squeak, and sister will be yours. Listen carefully to the high mountains and flowing water, brother is sister's soulmate. Wait until the moon rises in the east, and the sheng and yue will play together until dawn." The Yangge of Lvjiahe is closely connected with people's living customs, and the songs accompany all aspects of people's lives. The villagers regard singing as their second language of communication.
