The custom of ancestor worship (Nanchao Wu Clan Ancestral Hall Ceremony) The Wu Clan Ancestral Hall Ceremony is held in the Wu Clan Ancestral Hall in Nanchao Village, Paotai, and is attended by the Wu Clan from Nanchao and representatives of the Wu Clan scattered in Chaoshan from Nanchao. Wu Fugu, one of the "Eight Sages of Chaozhou" in the Northern Song Dynasty, is the deity. It is a folk custom activity with the arrangement of sacrificial offerings and worship rituals and contents. It originated when the ancestral hall was built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty. Later, as the Nanchao Wu Clan prospered, its scale gradually expanded.
