Ancestor worship customs (Nanshan Cemetery Ceremony)
Ancestor worship customs (Nanshan Cemetery Ceremony) Nanshan Cemetery worship ceremony is a popular ancestor worship ritual in Qiankeng Town, Jiexi County. It originated in the Ming Dynasty Zhengde Wuyin (1518), and has a history of nearly 500 years. Lin Nanshan, who is buried in Nanshan Cemetery, is the son of Datang Jun, a Jinshi in the Song Dynasty and a judge in the Dali Temple. He originally lived in Shanghang, Fujian. When the Song and Yuan dynasties changed, "the shameful minister Hu Yuan moved from Fujian to Guangdong" and lived in Qianjiazhai (now Qiankeng Town). He founded Qiankeng and Yangxia, and became the founding ancestor of the Qiankeng Yangxia Lin family. Today, there are 300,000 descendants. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
