Yingshang Huagudeng is an art form created by the working people and passed down from generation to generation. It originated in the vast rural areas of the Huaihe River Basin and is mainly popular in more than 20 counties and cities along the Huaihe River, including Yingshang. The main content of Yingshang Huagudeng is to express the people's good wishes for a peaceful government, a peaceful country, good weather, and a long life. It shows the courtesy, righteousness, diligence and bravery of the children of the Huaihe River, the pure and simple love of young men and women, and reflects people's persistence and yearning for a happy life. In addition to being similar to the Huagudeng in Huainan and Bengbu in terms of subject matter, form, music, and dance, Yingshang Huagudeng also has its own characteristics. The dance is very dynamic, the rhythm is tight and powerful, the movements are full of charm, the speed is fast and sharp, the postures change frequently, the performance scene is passionate and jubilant, the actors are cheerful and passionate, the singing is rough and high-pitched, the whole performance atmosphere is magnificent and rich, and the local characteristics are strong. The performers of Yingshang Huagudeng are composed of several drumsticks and wax flower couples. Usually, the first drumstick (called a fork umbrella handle) leads the dance. There are mainly sections such as big flower field (running big field) and small flower field (running small field). Most of the Yingshang Huagudeng performances are improvised, and gongs and drums are often used for beating (four instruments are commonly used, such as drums, gongs, cymbals, and small gongs). There is no score for gongs and drums. Phoenix 0 head, long flowing water, small five-part, eighteen-part, big stop point, small stop point, etc. are often used. Most of them are improvised and changed with the dance. The music mostly adopts the folk pentatonic scale, and the mixed mode of Gong, Yu and Zheng is often used. Yingshang Huagudeng has a number of traditional dance programs with characters and plots, such as "Robbing the Bench", "Robbing the Handkerchief", "Outing Spring", and some representative folk artists. Yingshang Huagudeng art is passionate, unrestrained, beautiful, and delicate, fully reflecting the characteristics of Han folk songs and dances. In recent years, it has been invited to participate in international art exchange activities many times, which has had a wide impact.
