Sidixiang Gongs and Drums
Jinzhai County is located in the western part of Anhui Province, at the northern foot of Dabie Mountain, at the junction of Hubei, Henan and Anhui provinces. It is the intersection of Wu, Chu culture and Central Plains culture. The unique geographical location has accumulated unique intangible cultural heritage. The wind and percussion music "Si Di Xiang Gong Gu" is a treasure among the folk music of Dabie Mountain. "Si Di Xiang Gong Gu", also known as "Si Di Xiang Gong Gu", originated from the court music studio in the Tang Dynasty. During the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, it spread from Macheng, Hubei to Jinzhai, and during the Republic of China, it spread from Jinzhai to Yingshan, Luotian, Macheng and other places. "Si Di Xiang Gong Gu" has a full set of 54 routes, four major tunes, and is divided into two gates: civil and military. Wumen: gong, drum, cymbals, Ma gong; Wenmen: erhu, banhu, flute, trumpet, suona. At present, there are 32 routes with recorded scores and 28 routes played. The last four routes only have scores but no scores. "Si Di Xiang Gong Gu" has obvious traces of court music and is an important text for the study of ancient court music. Its performance forms are diverse, integrating song, dance, music and opera performances, and it is also an important basis for traditional art research. "Si Di Xiang Gong and Drum" has the characteristics of diversity, comprehensiveness and integrity in art. It has beautiful tunes and brisk rhythms. Its content and form are inseparable from the living customs of the people in Hubei, Henan and Anhui provinces, and are deeply loved by the people in Hubei, Henan and Anhui provinces.
