The Five Tiger Sticks of Yangfang Village is a kind of martial arts drama performed in folk flower fairs. It is based on the story that when Emperor Taizu Zhao Kuangyin was young, he and Zheng Ziming and Chai Rong passed by Dongjiazhai and crossed the bridge and encountered the Five Tigers of Dongjia blocking the road and asking for money to cross the bridge, and a fight broke out. In the end, Zhao Kuangyin and the other three defeated the Five Tigers of Dongjia and taught the five village bandits a lesson. Before the end of the Qing Dynasty, the Five Tiger Sticks had been performed and circulated in Yangfang Village. Around 1900, a martial arts master who lived in seclusion in Yangfang Yaowang Temple, known as the Ninth Master of Yandian, and was also said to be Liu Yunpu, the martial arts instructor of the Boxers at that time, gave instructions to the Five Tiger Sticks of Yangfang Village from the perspective of martial arts, removing the rough and retaining the fine, increasing the martial arts elements, and speeding up the fighting rhythm, making the scene more intense, close to actual combat, and using the original wooden sticks. Since then, the Five Tiger Sticks of Yangfang Village have been the only one in Hebei Province at that time. In order to pass on the Five Tiger Sticks of Yangfang from generation to generation and cultivate subsequent inheritors, the Five Tiger Sticks of Yangfang have entered the campus for inheritance. Since 2015, Yangfang Central Primary School has started the Yangfang Five Tiger Stick campus inheritance activities, and the representative inheritor of Yangfang Five Tiger Stick, Teacher Wang Wenyu, has personally entered the school to conduct teaching activities. Yangfang Central Primary School fully supports the campus inheritance of Yangfang Five Tiger Stick, follows the psychological and physical characteristics of children, and carries out inheritance work in a planned manner from the perspective of promoting the all-round development of students. It has completed the compilation of the school-based textbook "Five Tiger Sticks" and actively organized students to participate in various cultural activities in Changping District. In 2018, the Five Tiger Stick Performance Team of Yangfang Central Primary School won the first place in the exhibition of intangible cultural heritage projects of the Changping District Primary and Secondary School Art Festival. In 2018, the District Party Committee and District Government invested in the establishment of the fourth inheritance base in Yangfang Village, the Changping District Five Tiger Stick Inheritance Base, following the Houniufang Village Flower Cymbals and Drum Inheritance Base, the Qiyuan Village Dragon Drum Inheritance Base, and the Jiantou Village Stilts Inheritance Base.
