Pearl picking is one of the ancient production methods of the Manchu people, which can be traced back to the fishing and hunting era of the Jurchens. The Manchu people interpreted this production activity into a sport called pearl ball to enrich their lives. The two rackets in the equipment represent the clams that protect the pearls from being picked, the ball represents the pearls, the net bag is used to take the pearls, and the fish basket is used to collect the pearls.
