Leting Di Yangge is a folk dance with a wide range of spread, long history, rich content and lively forms in Leting County. Before the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, Leting Yangge was mainly a large-scale Yangge with routines. During the reign of Emperor Xuantong, small-scale Yangge gradually increased. The performance forms of large-scale Yangge can be divided into two types: street-walking and field-walking. Street-walking Yangge is a dance form performed along the streets and alleys. Street-walking Yangge is a dance form performed along the streets and alleys. The movements are simple, focusing on the overall effect, and the atmosphere is warm and prosperous. The accompaniment tune generally uses a gentle medium tempo. Common formations include one dragon, two dragons coming out of the water, two levels climbing the building, and weaving flowers. Field Yangge is a dance form that is performed in a fixed place, and it is divided into large and small fields. Small-scale Yangge is also called Xiaochuzi, with various themes, mainly "Monk Amuses Liu Cui", "Mending the Big Jar", "Silly Zhuzi Takes His Wife", etc. The professions of Yangge can be roughly divided into civil and military clowns, civil and military sons, girls (girls, young women), civil and military c (wives, old men) and boys, etc. The movements of Leting Yangge are rich and varied. The foot movements include clever steps, big bouncing steps, small bouncing steps, flat steps and small broken steps; the waist movements include twisting waist, flicking waist and probing waist; the shoulder movements include staggering shoulders, circling shoulders and shaking shoulders; the head movements include turning head, nodding head and shaking head. Leting Yangge mainly uses fans and handkerchiefs as props to express the thoughts and emotions of the characters. Over the years, Yangge artists have created a very rich variety of fan and silk dance movements, such as back fan, middle flip flower, distraction fan, double shake, single shake and other fan flowers, and silk flowers such as dusting silk, wiping silk, turning silk, inner silk wrapping and outer silk wrapping. The dance and music of Leting Yangge are flexible and closely coordinated. The commonly used accompaniment instruments are generally multiple suonas, drums and cymbals. Commonly used suona tunes include "Mantanghong", "Liu Qingniang", "Shuang in Every Sentence", "Big Girl Love", "Ghost Pulling Legs", "Going to the Ladder to Heaven" and so on. There are now 88 amateur yangko teams with more than 100 members in the county. During festivals, especially during the Spring Festival, yangko activities are held in every village in the county.
