Yangko is a simple and easy-to-learn folk art form. It emerged before the founding of New China and developed greatly in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The "Baijiaying Yangko" was the most prosperous in Xiashan. Its rise is inseparable from the "Yanjia". According to legend, the Jade Emperor loves to watch Yangko, so every time a "Yanjia" is held, Baijiaying performs Yangko. Later, it spread to all the villages in Zhangling Community and was renamed "Zhangling Yangko". In those days, in major events such as celebrating liberation, resisting US aggression and aiding Korea, and land revolution, the Yangko team showed their skills, enlivened cultural life, and inspired the revolutionary spirit of the people. There are dozens of people participating in the Yangko performance, and the roles are divided into one umbrella pole, one old woman, one flower puller, two monks, two sugar Luo, two clowns, one person carrying a flower basket, and several people holding flower fans. The umbrella pole is the general commander of the yangko team. He wears a sun hat, holds an umbrella in one hand and a string of rattles in the other. The old woman holds a cattail fan and a bag on her shoulder. The flower dancer is dressed as a young lady and holds a white paper fan. The monk holds a mallet, the Tang Luo dances with colorful silk, and the clown carries a flower drum. The accompaniment of gongs and drums is divided into "dragon tail swinging", "four doors open", "tongue sticking out" and other patterns. Each role has lyrics, and the umbrella pole calls the play. Representative works include "Little Son-in-law", "Four Seasons Song", "Twelve Months", etc. For many years, it has been passed down from generation to generation and has lasted for a long time. Later, it was interrupted. In 1984, some retired cadres of Zhangling Community re-excavated and sorted out the "Baijiaying Yangko" and organized rehearsals. During the Spring Festival in 1985, he participated in the folk art performance of Changyi County and was commended by the Weifang Municipal Bureau of Culture and the Changyi County Bureau of Culture and Education. The Weifang Municipal Bureau of Culture awarded a silk banner of "Flower of Mass Art". (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.) (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
