The dragon-calling ceremony of dancing incense dragon is carried out at night around the Lantern Festival in the first month of each year. There are round dragons, flat dragons and special sulfur dragons. The lengths are divided into 7, 9, 11 arches, etc. The highest is more than 4 meters, and the shortest is 2.5 meters. Its production materials are simple, the production process is exquisite, the process flow is complex, the shape is majestic, the momentum is magnificent, the performance procedures are clear, the incense is bright, the atmosphere is warm, the scene is spectacular, and the public participation is strong. It has a typical regional iconic culture. The performance procedures of the incense dragon include: rolling, spraying water, sinking to the bottom of the sea, jumping, swallowing, sleeping and other actions. The performance skills of "sinking to the bottom of the sea" and "swallowing" are relatively difficult. The two lions leading and following, in addition to their own tumbling and jumping movements, also perform some movements to lead the dragon and follow the dragon to "protect the emperor". The folk dance of the incense dragon is often held when insect plagues occur. The lit incense is inserted into the dragon's body, and the dots of fire form a shining dragon that swims in the night sky. Fireflies chase the dots of fire on the dragon's body and fly over. The "incense dragon" passes through the streets and dances to the edge of the field. Flying insects chase the incense, and more and more gather. Suddenly, the dragon dance team stops at the pond and plunges the grass dragon, head and tail, deeply into the water. The water submerges the dragon and the insects flying to the incense. In terms of eliminating pests, the incense dragon has higher practical value than other forms of dragon dance.
