Chinese massage has a long history. During the long process of development, various massage schools with their own characteristics have been formed. Zhu's One Finger Zen Massage is a well-known leader among many massage schools. The representatives of Zhu's One Finger Zen Massage are Zhu Chunting and his son Zhu Dingcheng. The Zhu family was originally a family of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners in Huangqiang, Jiading, Shanghai. Zhu Chunting and his son are the sixth and seventh generations of descendants. Zhu's One Finger Zen Massage was founded by Zhu Chunting, who inherited his family's profound clinical experience of traditional Chinese medicine for more than 200 years and combined it with the core ideas of the One Finger Zen Massage School that has been passed down in Jiangnan for nearly 170 years. One Finger Zen Massage is the only massage school included in the "Cihai" (1936 edition). Zhu Chunting is the only massage medical scientist included in the "Great Cihai". In 1998, the "Shanghai Health Annals" listed "Zhu's Massage" as a school of traditional Chinese medicine. On October 24, 1999, the Liberation Daily listed "Zhu's Tuina" along with "Shi's Traumatology" and "Lu's Acupuncture" as one of the more than 10 famous Chinese medicine schools in Shanghai. The medical thought and medical characteristics of Zhu's One Finger Zen Tuina mainly include the following aspects: First, it emphasizes that the holistic concept of Chinese medicine should be emphasized in treating diseases with Tuina. It is believed that the Tuina practitioner must understand Yin and Yang, know the internal organs, follow the meridians, and guard the acupoints. It is required to have a deep foundation in the basic theory of Chinese medicine and be familiar with the classic works of the past dynasties such as "The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine", "Treatise on Febrile Diseases", and "Golden Chamber". Second, learn from others' strengths and integrate your own views. It is proposed that we should understand the academic thoughts of doctors of all dynasties and use them for ourselves. For example, the thought of Li Dongyuan's "Theory of Spleen and Stomach" is integrated into Tuina, and it is believed that the spleen and stomach are the sea of water, grain, qi and blood, the foundation of the acquired constitution, and if they are weak, all kinds of diseases will arise. Third, he is good at One Finger Zen Tuina techniques. Zhu's One Finger Zen Tuina has twelve techniques such as pushing, holding, pressing, and rubbing. According to the principle of "all methods return to one", the one-finger Zen push method is its essence, that is, the thumb swings 120 times per minute to continuously act on the acupuncture points to be treated, using the finger instead of the needle, and the disease is cured. For example, the one-finger Zen push method is used to push the back Shu acupoint, the one-finger Zen press method is used to press the Zusanli acupoint, and the one-finger Zen push and massage method is applied to the Zhongwan acupoint to treat miscellaneous internal diseases. Its efficacy exceeds acupuncture and medicine, and there is no toxic side effect. Fourth, the use of massage techniques, learning from the ancients but not sticking to the ancients, and focusing on practicing. It is proposed that the manipulation should be soft with hardness, hardness and softness, and softness is precious. The force should be deep, rhythmic and lasting, and the finger should be used instead of the needle, and the force should penetrate the valley. It advocates that massage practitioners must practice the manipulation and strengthen their bodies - "Yi Jin Jing"; it proposes the one-finger Zen push method to practice the cross formula: sinking shoulders, hanging elbows, hanging wrists, empty palms, and solid fingers, which has greatly inspired and guided the later generations to learn one-finger Zen massage. Zhu's One Finger Massage has made an indelible contribution to the development of modern Chinese massage. In the spring of 1956, under the cordial care of the Party and the government, Zhu Chunting was hired by East China Hospital to establish the first Chinese massage department in Shanghai. In October of the same year, Comrade Lu Dingyi personally experienced the efficacy of Zhu's One Finger Massage and instructed the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau to rescue Chinese massage. Zhu Chunting took the lead in establishing the "Shanghai Massage Medical Class" to teach One Finger Massage. In 1958, the first massage professional training school in China, the "Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Massage School" and the Shanghai Massage Clinic were successively established. Mr. Zhu served as the principal and director of the clinic. He brought back the One Finger Massage, which was destroyed by the old society and on the verge of extinction, and revived the Chinese massage science of the motherland. Before the Cultural Revolution, the Tuina School had trained more than 500 Tuina doctors throughout the country, becoming the leading figures in the Chinese Tuina industry. In October 1987, the National Tuina Association was established in Shanghai, and Zhu Chunting, as the founder of Chinese Tuina, was elected as the honorary chairman. The establishment of the National Tuina Association has started a new journey for China's Tuina industry. Zhu's One Finger Zen Tuina is the characteristic of the Tuina Department of Shanghai East China Hospital. Zhu Dingcheng, the son of Zhu Chunting, the inheritor, has inherited his father's business and is now the deputy director (deputy director) and deputy chief physician of the Tuina Department. Zhu's father and son are good at treating miscellaneous internal medicine diseases, and they are also effective for women, children and bone injuries, especially for the treatment of neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain, insomnia, headache, irregular menstruation, and pediatric dysplasia. Its important value is just as Comrade Lu Dingyi wrote in his inscription: "Dr. Zhu Chunting can cure stubborn diseases, which are indeed incurable by other medical methods. It is no accident that Tuina can be unique." During the massage process, Zhu and his son actively conveyed the traditional Chinese medical culture and the concept of harmonious coexistence of heaven, earth and man through Chinese massage therapy. After more than half a century of baptism, it has won the reputation of patients, especially in health care and treatment, thus bringing extensive and good social and academic influence.
