Lingbi County is located in the northeast of Anhui Province. It has a beautiful environment and a long history. As early as the Neolithic Age, humans lived here. The county was established in the first year of Yuanyou (1086) during the reign of Emperor Zhezong of the Song Dynasty. Lingbi stone carving was formed during the Sinian Period of the Late Proterozoic Era (about 800 million years ago) and belongs to the carbonate rock of the Ordovician System.
