Dongmiao Village belongs to Liuji Town, Guzhen County, and was originally named Qingfeng Town. In the early Qing Dynasty, there were many people with the surname Dong in the area. As the location of the Dong family temple, it was renamed Dongmiao during the Tongzhi period and gradually developed into a market town. Two ghost wrestling is a dance form in which an actor plays a double wrestling. A dummy is tied to the body to form a pair. The actor and the dummy are painted with ghost faces. They wrestle each other to show that the evil spirits are far away and people are safe. The prop is a special rack with two wrestlers' heads on the upper part of the rack. They are the same size as real people and have hideous faces. They are commonly known as "two ghosts". The current performance changes with the times, and its masks are often updated. There are also two ghosts who are male and female. You only need to make up the heads and faces of the two ghosts into male and female, as if it is a love farce of a pair of lovers who fall in love and become enemies. The performance is still like this. During the performance, the performers are fixed on a wooden board about 90 cm long, 30 cm wide and 4 cm thick. In fact, they only have the head, neck and upper body, and their lower body is played by the upper and lower limbs of the performers. The performers carry a frame on their backs, and their legs and arms play the lower limbs of the two ghosts. The two ghosts wear two-color robes, and the long skirts hang down just to the ankles, covering the performers completely. During the performance, they use their hands and feet together, tumbling and jumping, just like two wrestlers competing on the spot. They stretch out their arms and hug each other's waists, stare at each other, and grin. The basic movements of the two ghosts wrestling include twisting feet and hooking legs, and the movement routines include walking, running, jumping, and falling. Among them, "falling" (commonly known as "wrestling") is the most exciting. After the actors set up the stage, they began to perform wrestling accompanied by music, gongs and drums. But the "two people" rolled and pressed on the ground, very hard, with coherent movements, vivid performances, and shouting, which was wonderful. The two ghosts wrestling is performed in three occasions: flat ground, stool, and tabletop. The performance is divided into three parts: the first part is wrestling on the ground. The operator uses pushing, kicking, hugging, pressing and other actions to show the wrestling scene of two ghosts hugging and wrestling, pushing and kicking each other, and overwhelm each other. The second part is wrestling on the table. The two ghosts fall from the ground to the table. The operator uses flipping, rolling, spinning, sweeping and other actions to show the advance and retreat of the two ghosts wrestling on the table, pushing, falling to the edge of the table, overwhelm and roll, hugging and spinning and other thrilling scenes. The third part is that the two ghosts fall from the table to under the table. The operator uses quick pushing, kicking, hugging, flipping, rolling, spinning and other actions to push the two ghosts wrestling to a climax. The two ghosts performers are mostly young and strong men. They master the essentials quickly, are agile, flexible in reaction, and quick in action. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
