Longtan Drum Music
The Longtan Folk Culture Tourism Scenic Area in Yanting County, where "Longtan Ancient Music" was born, is located in Longqian Village, Chating Township, which borders Yanting and Zitong counties. It connects the five points to Jianmen in the north and enters Yancheng through the Mijiang River in the west. It is 50 kilometers away from Yanting County and Zitong County, and its geographical location is: 1052143.8 east longitude and 312731.4 north latitude. It is located in the transition zone from the deep hills in the north of the basin to the high mountains. It is composed of mountainous landforms such as strange peaks, steep mountains, canyons, and gullies. It belongs to the subtropical warm and humid monsoon climate zone, with an annual rainfall of about 800 mm, a frost-free period of more than 290 days, an annual average temperature of 17, sufficient sunlight, distinct four seasons, and frequent night rain and daytime sunshine all year round, presenting a scene of fresh air after rain. Hundreds of precious Chinese herbal medicines grow naturally in the mountains and valleys of the Longtan Folk Culture Scenic Area, so it is also called "Medicine Valley". It is said to be the hometown of Qi Bo, the founder of traditional Chinese medicine. There are still a large number of relics and cultural relics preserved, as well as rich and colorful folk culture. Longtan Ancient Music is the sum of classical percussion music circulated among the people in Longtan area. Since the establishment of Longtan Foreign Opera in the ninth year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1883), a large number of folk music circulated in the county and outside the county has been collected on the basis of inheriting classical music. Specifically, Longtan Ancient Music originated from the vast number of people in ancient times, formed in the Qing Dynasty, promoted after the founding of New China, and flourished in the era of reform and opening up and the revitalization of all industries. Value and influence: Longtan Ancient Music has collected several music tunes circulated among the people in the local and surrounding areas, and has become a characteristic music product of Longtan Folk Culture Scenic Area after research, sorting and summarization. For many years, local and foreign folk traditional festivals, folk temple fairs, celebrations, red and white gatherings of the people, etc., have invited Longtan Ancient Music Band to play and celebrate, which has been highly praised by all walks of life and the general public. It is also an indispensable backbone team in rural literary and artistic life. Chating Township, where Longtan is located, has been rated as the third batch of provincial folk culture and art towns in Sichuan Province.
