The Neolithic complex on Orkney includes a large chambered burial site (Maeshow), two ceremonial stone circles (Stenness and Brodgar) and a settlement (Scarra Brae), as well as a number of unexcavated burials, rituals and settlements. The complex forms an important prehistoric cultural landscape, providing a vivid picture of life on this remote archipelago in the far north of Scotland 5,000 years ago.
