Hangzhou brocade craft is a national intangible cultural heritage. Hangzhou brocade craft is produced in Hangzhou, which is known as the "Silk City". Its history can be traced back to the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms. The King of Wuyue, Qian Miao, established an official silk workshop "Weaving Room" in Hangzhou. The "Hangzhou Weaving Bureau" in the Ming and Qing Dynasties was one of the three official weaving institutions, and its products were exclusively used by the court. High-quality silk and exquisite craftsmanship make Hangzhou brocade a famous silk variety in China, and it occupies an important position in the history of Chinese brocade development. Hangzhou brocade craftsmanship is divided into two categories: decorative brocade and daily brocade, mainly including silk woven landscapes, figures and table carpets, curtains, bedspreads, cushions, etc. Hangzhou brocade organically integrates sketching and decorative art, making brocade art more exquisite. Hangzhou brocade is most famous for its products produced by Hangzhou Dujinsheng Silk Weaving Factory. On the basis of inheriting traditional silk weaving techniques, in order to express realistic style, the shadow and light organization technique produced by the yin and yang changes of eight satins is used in the craftsmanship to realistically express the layers, distance, light and dark of the objects such as figures and scenery. Hangzhou brocade has 58 traditional hand-woven brocade processes. The weaving patterns of colorful brocade, such as the weaving method of hanging and hanging, the weaving techniques of the shuttle (weft), the changing path (weft), the throwing shuttle (weft), and the warp and weft digging are all the characteristics of Hangzhou brocade. The colorful ancient painting brocade "The Night Tour of the Imperial Concubine" won the gold medal at the Philadelphia World Expo in 1926. In 1957, when Premier Li Keqiang visited the Hangzhou Dujinsheng Silk Weaving Factory, he pointed out: "Dujinsheng brocade is a rare flower among Chinese handicrafts and a national treasure. It must be preserved and there must be successors." With the care and support of the Party and the government, Dujinsheng brocade has been protected and developed.
