Jiaochuan Zoushu is a genre of local folk art in Ningbo with a strong local flavor and unique style. It is spread in Zhenhai and the urban area of Ningbo, and has a history of more than 100 years. According to the oral tradition of old Jiaochuan Zoushu artists, during the Guangxu period, a Jiaochuan Zoushu artist named Xie Ashu (also known as Xie Yuanhong) who lived in Xiaonanmen, Zhenhai County, named it "Jiaochuan Zoushu" because the word "Jiaochuan" was engraved on the arched wall of Xiaonanmen where he lived. In the early days, Jiaochuan Zoushu was performed by only one person, without musical accompaniment or backstage singing. The artist only used two wine cups and a bamboo chopstick to beat rhythmically and sing and sing by himself. On the eve of the Anti-Japanese War, it gradually evolved into a form of one singing and one responding. A small platform was built with wooden boards in temples, ancestral halls or sun drying grounds. The singers began to use static wood, paper fans, handkerchiefs and other small props. The accompaniment was also changed to bamboo boards and bamboo drums to beat a rhythmic rhythm, and the basic tune of "Ai Ai Li Ah" was sung in the clear mouth when the tune was dropped. On the eve of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, instruments such as erhu and yangqin began to be used for accompaniment. After liberation, it developed into a multi-stage form, and sometimes a variety of instruments such as pipa, sanxian, flute and flute were added for accompaniment. There are more than 30 tunes in Jiaochuan Walking Book, and more than 20 are commonly used.
