The ten scenes of Shanggao (the fourth batch of provincial level) are mainly distributed in Aoyang Street, Xujiadu Town, Jinjiang Town, Nangang Town, Tianxin Town and other places in Shanggao County. Among them, the performances in Tuanjie Village of Jinjiang Town are the most frequent and the dances are also relatively good. According to local elders, the ten scenes were introduced into our county in the early Qing Dynasty and have a history of more than 300 years. The instruments used are bells, bells, small cymbals, small gongs, hall drums, board drums, tatar drums, bamboo boards, suonas, and flutes, hence the name of the ten scenes. The ten scenes of Shanggao use the tunes of Huagu Opera as fixed tunes, mainly played by suona, and accompanied by various instruments. The performance is generally not performed alone, but performed together with "Colored Lotus Boat" and "Clam Shell Lantern". It is mostly used by the people around the Spring Festival, as well as for newlyweds, new houses, childbirth, birthday celebrations, openings, and promotions. The formations during the performance are mainly horizontal and vertical. The dance movements are relatively simple, mainly "walking positions", and there are not many changes. After walking around, they return to the center of the venue to play another song. After playing, they walk again, walk back to the original place and play again. This cycle repeats until the "Colored Lotus Boat" and "Clam Shell Lantern" are performed at the same time. The "Colored Lotus Boat" is performed by five people, and the girl stands in the colorful lotus boat. Four women perform on the left and right sides of the boat. They were originally men dressed as women, but changed to women in the early Republic of China. Each performer carries two flower baskets on his shoulders and is organized into two teams. The performance still takes the original form. According to the tune of "Ten Scenes", they frequently form teams and intersperse. The dance steps are simple and the team sequence is smooth. It can be said that there is peace and joy in singing and dancing. The "Clam Shell Lantern" is widely spread. Two people dance together. There is a simple plot: the fisherman grabs the pearls from the clam and clamps his arms and hips for the clam several times. He struggles and twists his body, which is interesting and humorous. "Clamshell lanterns" are mainly performed in straight lines and interchanges, with four corners, parallel lines, and circles as interlaced transition formations. Most of the performances are in straight lines and confrontations. The fisherman is the main performer. Although there are fixed positions and basic movements, the performers can still make some improvisations according to the performance mood at the time to increase the performance atmosphere. Although "Ten Scenes" are mainly percussion music, performing them together with "Colored Boats" and "Clamshell Lanterns" increases the performance atmosphere, making the whole performance rhythm soothing and the expressions delicate, giving people a happy feeling after watching it, so it is very popular in the local area.
