Suzhou is a famous historical and cultural city in my country with a profound cultural heritage. There are many traditional crafts in the folk, and the production of blue bricks and blue tiles is one of them. Suzhou Xiangcheng District Gonghui Ancient Building Brick and Tile Factory (formerly known as Wuxian Ancient Building Brick and Tile Factory) is located in Xingdian Village, Taiping Street, Xiangcheng District, Suzhou City (on the shore of Yangcheng Lake). The landform of this place is the alluvial plain in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It is the farming area in the north of Suzhou City and is known as "Splendid Jiangnan, the Land of Fish and Rice". In ancient times, people here began to use the unique yellow mud of Yangcheng Lake (commonly known as "iron filings yellow mud" by Suzhou people) to make blanks and burn bricks and tiles after farming. "Iron filings yellow mud" is a special soil on the shore of Yangcheng Lake. The blue bricks and blue tiles made of it are wind and rain resistant, corrosion resistant, and will not break for thousands of years. They make a sound when knocked, and are favored by dynasties. As early as the Spring and Autumn Period more than 2,500 years ago, Suzhou Tiger Hill Pagoda was built with blue bricks and blue tiles. It represented the level of Suzhou's brickmaking industry at that time. It is still intact and has become a symbol of Suzhou.
