Qiliang hometown story
The full name of "Stories from the Hometown of Qi and Liang" should be "Stories that happened in the Hometown of Qi and Liang during the Qi and Liang eras". Because the ancestral home of the emperors of the Qi and Liang dynasties was Wujin Dongchengli (now Menghe Town, Xinbei District, Changzhou), this place was called "the Hometown of Qi and Liang" by historians. During the Qi and Liang dynasties, this place became the sub-political center and sub-cultural center of the Qi and Liang dynasties. The members of the Xiao royal family who lived here strengthened the political factors and personal connections here. In addition, the original cultural heritage here was profound, so many stories were left in the Qi and Liang eras. These stories were processed and modified by local literati from all dynasties and passed down from generation to generation until today. This project includes 18 stories, which can be divided into seven categories. The first category has 3 stories, which can be called stories about the basic situation of "the Hometown of Qi and Liang". The second category has 2 stories, which are the origins of the place names related to the Hometown of Qi and Liang. The third category has 3 stories, which are stories about Xiao Yan's behavior. The fourth category has 4 stories, which are stories about people related to Xiao Yan. The first story in the fifth category is about the story of Xiao Daocheng. The second stories in the sixth category are about the story of the crown prince Xiao Tong. The third stories in the seventh category are about the stories of the other three elites of the Xiao family. These stories can be divided into three categories: stories about characters, stories about history, and stories about sites. The stories about characters tell the stories of the emperor (Xiao Yan, Xiao Daocheng), the crown prince (Xiao Tong), the monks (Tao Hongjing, Zhi Gong), the number one scholar (Xiao Yingshi), the prime minister (Xiao Yu), the queen (Empress Xiao), etc.; the stories about history tell the origin of the hometown of Qi and Liang, the rise of the Xiao family, and the origin of Lianghuang Cake; the stories about sites tell about Laohudun and the Four Bridges and Eight Ponds. Through these stories, we can understand the social history, political culture, and local customs of the Eastern Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
