Jiufeng Town is located in the northern mountainous area of Lechang City, bordering Yanshou Township, Rucheng County, Hunan Province. Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Jiufeng has had the custom of dancing with incense dragons. Whenever the Lantern Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival come, villagers make lifelike dragons. Later, after continuous processing and development by folk artists, the incense dragon gradually evolved into the cloth dragon we see today.
