Rushan Qinshu
Rushan Qinshu Rushan Qinshu, also known as Rushan Dagu, was originally called "blind tune" and was commonly known as "blind singing" among the people. It evolved from Xihe Dagu. This art form has a history of more than 200 years in Rushan. Its founder was Shi Yuanlang, who was originally from Zou County during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. In the process of singing from generation to generation, blind artists in Rushan added their own dialect and slang. The lyrics were easy to understand and the repertoires sung had obvious characteristics of the times. It was one of the most popular forms of art and entertainment from the old society to the early days of liberation. In the old days, almost all blind children learned from their teachers and engaged in the singing of this kind of Dagu. Those with poor vocal conditions became musicians; those with good vocal conditions became singers. Some star-like blind artists have emerged and are deeply loved by the audience. Famous blind artists have many "drama fans" who follow the stage to cheer. The accompaniment of Rushan Dagu includes small drums, three-stringed harp, huqin, steel plates, flutes, etc., which sound beautiful when played together. The main singer has to play the drum and the steel plate at the same time, while other people can accompany or sing along, with ups and downs, the same tune and different rhymes, which is particularly pleasant to listen to. Sometimes, one can also play and sing by himself, or play and sing by himself, which is really a one-person show, very interesting. The repertoires sung have obvious characteristics of the times, including "The Investiture of the Gods", "The Story of Wool", "Qin Xianglian", "The Generals of the Yang Family", "The Story of the Tang Dynasty", "The Three Kingdoms", "The July 7 Incident", "The White-Haired Girl", "The Three Bridges", "Xiao Erhei's Marriage", "Rushan Heroic Models", etc. Regarding Rushan drum, the records that can be found are roughly as follows: After 1941, under the organization of the anti-Japanese government, Rushan established the "Blind Anti-Japanese National Salvation Association", arranged anti-Japanese programs, went from village to village, and carried out patriotic and national salvation propaganda. Rushan Qinshu was listed in the Weihai City Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection List in 2008. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.) (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
