Tongcao itself is white, bright, and has a velvety feel, and is easy to dye and shape. During the production process, it goes through processes such as material selection and bleaching, and then uses cutting, nesting, and gluing techniques to make craft paintings. The various flowers depicted in Tongcao paintings are lifelike and moving, especially the chrysanthemums.
