Tatar Yangko
The "Tartar Yangko" is popular in the Ning'an area of Mudanjiang. Ning'an is the birthplace of the Sushen, the ancestors of the Manchu people, and is rich in Manchu folk culture and art. The performance order of the "Tartar Yangko" is: "The flower stick leads the way, the Jurchens follow, the Tartars hold the corners, and the old mothers go back and forth." The old Tartar official sat on a chair and drank. When he saw a beautiful girl, he went forward to tease her. The old mother came to protect the girl and got the silver angel drunk. The old mother led everyone to surround the Tartars and beat them up, and the performance ended. The "Tartar Yangko" dance team has more than 60 or 70 people. The characters are mainly opera characters. The props held by the team members include colored sticks, overlord whips, flower fans, etc. When marching, there are many rectangular flags in the team. These are similar to the Han Yangko. Once twisted, the characteristics of Manchu culture will appear. The arms twisted in a large range, the waist turned flexibly, especially the steps of the lower body (male) are "bow and arrow steps", "big steps" and "squatting steps", which are short and strong. The performance highlights "funny" and "waving". The women's movements are graceful and cheerful, the hunters and warriors' movements are strong and rough, and the old mother and the old Tartar official fully embody "waving". Influenced by the folk art of the Han nationality, the music and costumes of "Tatar Yangko" are a blend of Manchu and Han music. The music is composed of Manchu folk songs and Han music. Han tunes are used during the march, and Manchu folk songs are played when entering the venue for performance. These are all full of Manchu life characteristics. "Tatar Yangko" is very civilized and pays attention to etiquette. Whenever the villages dance Yangko in the first month of the year, when the performances of the villages meet on the road, the "big master" must come forward to greet each other. Before the "big masters" of both sides leave the team, they touch each other's shoulders three times. The shoulder-touching ceremony is a typical Manchu etiquette. This "Tatar Yangko" is spread in the eastern mountainous area of Tieling with Baiqizhai as the center. From the appearance of the characters to the dance posture, it can be seen that this is the Manchu Yangko formed by the ancestors of the Manchu people on the basis of their own singing and dancing forms, integrating some elements of the Han Yangko.
