Gaotai chronic bone setting method, bone saving method
Gaotai is located in the middle of the Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province and in the middle and lower reaches of the Heihe River, the second largest inland river in China. The area has steep mountains and rivers, vast Gobi and endless deserts. It has been a nomadic land for ethnic minorities such as the Xiongnu and Yuezhi since ancient times. From the Han Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty, the Gaotai people who migrated from the Central Plains and settled on the border not only had the tradition of martial arts, generosity and willfulness, but also had the enterprising spirit of farming and reading, and studying the teachings of various schools of thought. They created and inherited many unique folk skills, including the representative skills of traditional medicine, bone setting and bone collection. Gaotai chronic bone setting and bone collection are traditional Chinese medicine methods that have been circulated in the local area for hundreds of years. They have obvious folk medicine characteristics such as long practice period, integration with traditional qigong, adherence to Taoist thought, mystery, expertise, and bare-handed treatment. Chronic osteosynthesis refers to a method of osteosynthesis in which a person who has mastered the method of osteosynthesis touches the patient's injured part with his hands (the patient takes off the clothes at the fractured part during treatment) within a certain period of time after the fracture (such as seven days after the fracture of a child, half a month after the fracture of a middle-aged person, and 21 days after the fracture of an elderly person) to determine whether it is a fracture and the specific injury, and recites different mantras for treatment according to different injuries. The best time for osteosynthesis is generally spring and summer, especially the new moon and full moon days; the best time for a day is the four hours of the day, namely, midnight, noon, dawn, and dusk; and the effect can only be seen after 100 days of continuous treatment. Regarding the method of osteosynthesis, there is a saying about willow branches: beginners should use willow branches as the treatment object, cut off the willow branches first, and then continue with the osteosynthesis method until the willow branches are skillfully connected, which is the day of success. When treating patients, it is advisable to choose sunrise, noon and sunset. First, take an appropriate amount of Dharma water and add it to a special small white porcelain bowl. The best Dharma water is well water that does not fall to the ground. Do not talk to people when taking water. After adding the Dharma water to the bowl, add an appropriate amount of white wine. Generally, adult patients add one liang, and minors add half a liang. Offer the prepared Dharma water on the incense table, fold two pieces of yellow paper into a Bagua diagram and add a "forget life money" to the incense table, and recite the "Black Tiger Mantra" three to seven times to invite the master to the execution ground. Then stand in front of the incense table in a horse stance, hold the bowl with the left hand and use the Three Mountains Formula (hold the water bowl with the thumb, index finger and little finger in the shape of three mountains), recite the "Command Water Mantra" three times, and use the "sword finger" of the right hand to write thunder, dragon, phoenix and tiger in the water bowl. After reciting the "Command Water Mantra" four times, still use the sword finger to write gold, wood, water, fire and earth in the water bowl, and then "take the bowl" and offer it to the incense table and kowtow. Still holding the bowl with the Three Mountains Technique, go outside to the sun to borrow light, open your mouth to inhale, hold your breath and silently recite the "Bone Setting Mantra" three to seven times, and spray the air into the water. When holding the bowl back to the house, step on the threshold with your left foot and recite the "Bone Setting Mantra" three to seven times. After entering the house, go to the incense table and recite the "Bone Setting Mantra" three to seven times, and finally go to the patient's bed and recite the "Bone Setting Mantra" three to seven times. Then take three sips of the Dharma water in the bowl, gather your inner strength and spray it three times on the patient's fracture, swallow a little of the Dharma water in your mouth, and let the patient drink the remaining Dharma water in the bowl. Then bandage it with tile-edge paper, bamboo board, or red cloth. For mild cases, no bandage is required. After the first treatment, treat it again after seven days, and treat it again after another seven days. For a total of three treatments, you can wait for recovery. For example, for a thigh fracture, after three treatments, you can walk on the ground after 21 days, and recover after three months. Generally, male patients recover faster than female patients, children recover faster than adults, and young and strong people recover faster than the elderly. The bone-setting method, also known as the whole-bone method, refers to the bone-setting method used for patients with severe and complex diseases such as comminuted fractures. The basic method is the same, but the mantras are different. This method can only treat one person a day. In addition to being used for human fractures and muscle ruptures, bone-setting and bone-setting methods can also be used to treat trauma in cattle, horses, camels and other livestock, with very good efficacy. The mantras recited include "Black Tiger Mantra", "Bone-setting Mantra", "Samadhi True Fire Mantra", "Vajra Mantra", "Command Water Mantra", "Bone-setting Mantra", etc. Among them, "Samadhi True Fire Mantra" is used for difficult patients, and "Vajra Mantra" is used to transcend and eliminate evil spirits. The bone-setting method is generally passed on within the family but not outsiders, and passed on to sons but not daughters. The method of practicing bone-setting is as follows: at sunrise, noon and sunset every day, hold your breath and concentrate, and silently recite four different formulas seven times. You must recite them all in one breath to be effective. You must persist every day, regardless of the cold or heat, and practice for several years or even decades. Only when the previous generation of inheritors passes away can you treat people. According to the book "Shangke Dacheng" written by Zhao Lian in the Qing Dynasty, "Bone setting method: Use your hands to touch the injured part carefully, whether it is broken, shattered, crooked, whole, soft, hard, or strong, soft, crooked, straight, broken, loose, thick, or flipped, or it is caused by a fall, a slip, or a collision, and then treat it according to the law. Connection method: connect the broken bones together and return them to their old positions, restore the sunken ones, restore the broken ones to their original positions, and restore the protruding ones to their original positions. Or use manual methods or instruments, and use them in sequence. Ending method: Use two hands or one hand to grab the bone to be held, or end it from bottom to top, or from outside to inside, or straight, or obliquely. If the bone is out of place, hold it with your hands and put it into its mortise without tilting it, and the bone seams will close, so that there will be no problem of length after healing. Lifting method: Lift the sunken bone as before, some use both hands to lift it, some use Some people use ropes and silk to lift from high places, and some use tools to assist after lifting to prevent them from sinking. If the heavy ones are lifted lightly, the disease will not be cured, and if the light ones are lifted heavily, new diseases will be added. Massage method: the presser presses it down with his hands, and the rubber rubs it slowly. Because the skin and muscles are damaged, the swelling, hardness and numbness occur, but the bones are not broken. Tuina method: push it with your hands to return it to its old position, and use two or one hand to pinch the affected area and slowly restore it to its original position. Or because the tendons are difficult to turn and shake, or the tendons are difficult to move, or the joints are slightly misaligned, massage should be used to dredge the blood and qi of the meridians.
