It is widely used in weddings, funerals, festivals and other traditional folk activities. The origin of music As a traditional folk art, Yichang Tangdiao has a long history. In addition to the records in "Chu Ci", there are also cultural relics from the Eastern Han Dynasty and Song Dynasty unearthed in Changyang and Zhijiang. During the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty, the local opera troupes were allowed to spread their skills among the people. The Yichang Tangdiao opera changed the human voice to suona, and the accompaniment of instruments such as jinghu became wind and percussion music. In particular, it continued to absorb traditional folk song and dance music to enrich the Tangdiao.
