Stilts Pavilion, also known as Stilts Ingot, is called both because it is as quiet as a pavilion and as moving as an ingot. It is popular in the central plain of Xinzhou District and originated in the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty. It is a traditional skill of Diwei Village, Kongbu Street, Xinzhou District, Wuhan City. It has a history of more than 400 years and was the first to be listed as an "intangible cultural heritage" project by Wuhan City. Adults walk on stilts and carry a "mountain" or "out" shaped steel frame on their shoulders, with 3 to 5 children sitting on each frame. The people walking on stilts dance to the gongs and drums, with a variety of tricks that amaze the audience. Originally, there were eight props for performing "Stilts Pavilion", namely the White Crane Pavilion, the Clam Pavilion, the Five-Star Pavilion, the Three-Star Pavilion, the Tobacco Piece Pavilion, the Flower Umbrella Pavilion, the Incense Plate Pavilion and the Side Flip Pavilion. They were designed to commemorate the Eight Immortals and later gradually evolved into a festival activity.
