According to legend, more than 800 years ago, there was a landlord at the foot of Phoenix Mountain. The landlord had a daughter who was well-educated, intelligent and virtuous. Her nickname was Dan'er. She had a face that was as beautiful as a flower and the moon, just like the peony flowers blooming on the mountain. The landlord had a long-term worker named Huasheng. He was honest, hardworking, kind-hearted, cheerful and optimistic. He could sing beautiful folk songs after work. It was said that his singing could attract phoenixes to fly in the mountains. Over time, Dan'er fell in love with Huasheng, and Huasheng was deeply moved by Dan'er's true love and loved Dan'er very much. There was a small river at the head of the village. The river water flowed down from the dripping cliff on Phoenix Mountain. It was clear to the bottom, just like the pure love between Dan'er and Huasheng. The two of them often met secretly by this small river. Although several springs, summers, autumns and winters had passed, they dared not tell anyone because of their identities. They could only express their true feelings to each other in front of the green mountains, flowing water and the green grass and wild flowers by the river, express their love and longing for each other, and make unforgettable vows of love. The green mountains, flowing water and wild flowers and wild grass by the river silently witnessed their love. They knew that this was a beautiful marriage of mutual affection. Finally one day, the landlord knew about this. He was very angry. How could his daughter marry a penniless farmhand? He ignored his daughter's true feelings and pleadings and insisted on breaking up the love that the young man and woman had chosen for themselves. With soft coaxing and hard threats, Dan'er only said one sentence: I love Huasheng and would rather die than change. The landlord thought of a vicious plan. On a dark and windy night, he sent someone to kill Huasheng. The landlord thought that this would completely cut off his daughter's thoughts. Dan'er knew that Huasheng was dead, and she was extremely angry. After scolding her father, she returned to 1 and wrote a suicide note: Even if we cannot be together in life, I will stay with him in death. After writing it, she hanged herself, and a wisp of fragrant soul chased Huasheng away. Dan'er's maid was deeply shocked and moved by this earth-shaking scene. She didn't want to face this cruel reality, so she also committed suicide with Dan'er. The landlord was sad and hateful when he saw his daughter dead. Out of hatred, he decided not to let their wish come true, so he buried the maid on this side and the other side of the stream separately. The river separated them, and the two could not see each other underground. He wanted to use this method to punish the couple; out of grief, he buried the maid next to the lady. After all, she was his daughter, and he hoped that someone would support her underground. However, what the landlord didn't expect was that a tree grew on each of Dan'er and Huasheng's graves. They were separated by the river and leaned towards the middle of the river. Slowly, they moved together, and slowly above the river, the two trees grew together. A tree also grew on the maid's grave, which seemed to be close to them but not close to them. It was this love story that created a miracle of nature. Because the two trees were like a pair of lovers, they were named "Acacia Trees". During the Cultural Revolution, the extreme left was rampant, and the Acacia Tree was criticized: A farmhand fell in love with the daughter of a landlord. Where was his class stand? The daughter of a landlord naturally had the blood of the landlord. How could she have such feelings for the poor and lower-middle peasants? ! There should be no more Acacia trees. They should be cut down. Acacia trees are a typical representative of the theory of class harmony and an object of "revolution". The Acacia Trees were almost cut down. Fortunately, a smart person came out and said: This pair of trees should be unity trees. Fengkuang is surrounded by rural areas. The working class and the poor and lower-middle peasants are closely connected. Workers cannot live without peasants, and peasants cannot live without workers. This tree is the embodiment of the combination of workers and peasants. This reason can stand, so it was called "Unity Tree" during the Cultural Revolution, and it was restored to "Acacia Tree" after the Cultural Revolution. Acacia trees should be well protected, and ignorance and numbness should not be allowed to destroy them again.
