Jiangying Village, Cheng'an County, is located in the southeast of Cheng'an County and is under the jurisdiction of Zhanghedian Town. The "Handan Youth Zhuizi Troupe" in the village is a very influential folk art group. The earliest founding artist of the troupe was Tian Wenqing (stage name Tian Yuanzhou). At the age of 15, he learned from an artist named "Lao You" in Macun, Wei County. Later, he formed his own class and performed in Cheng'an, Wei County, Daming, Feixiang, Linzhang and other places. Cheng'an Zhuizi Opera has distinct regional characteristics, artistic characteristics and clear inheritance relationships. It is an excellent intangible cultural heritage of Cheng'an. Zhuizi Opera is mainly composed of actors, bands and stages. The main performances are Henan Zhuizi and Luoyang Quzi, both with storytelling and singing. The roles are also divided into Sheng, Dan, Jing, Mo and Chou. The main performances include "The Great Destruction of Mengzhou", "The Golden Ball", "Bao Gong's Case", "Liu Gong's Case" and so on. Cheng'an Zhuizi Opera is mainly passed down through family traditions, but it is not a simple "family-style" combination. In addition to family members, actors also hire accomplished actors from outside the family to enrich the performance group. Therefore, this endangered traditional folk art form is also developed. The tunes of Cheng'an Zhuizi Opera are high-pitched, rough, simple, and vigorous, with a strong local flavor. The lyrics and dialogues of the performance not only maintain the essence of the traditional language but also absorb the folk spoken language, and have the characteristics of combining plastic arts and rap art. Due to economic interests and other reasons, this excellent art form has a lack of successors, and many skills have been lost one after another. Some old artists have gradually passed away, making this project increasingly declining, and it is in urgent need of rescue and protection.
