Gaoyang County, Hebei Province is located in the North China Plain, southeast of Baoding City. This area is a famous cotton-producing area in Hebei Province. This skill began in the late Ming Dynasty and flourished in the late Qing Dynasty. It has a history of more than 400 years and occupies an important position in China's textile history and modern Chinese industrial history. Gaoyang's folk dyeing and weaving industry has experienced the initial period in the late Ming Dynasty, the prosperity period in the late Qing Dynasty and the early years of the Republic of China, the decline period during the Japanese puppet rule, and the transition period after the founding of New China.
