Guangzong County's traditional textile skills have a history of more than 600 years, and have been passed down from generation to generation, orally and by heart. Traditional textile skills have a long history. In the past, it was a skill that farmers (mainly women) had to master. In recent years, especially after the reform and opening up, modern textiles have gradually replaced the traditional manual textile skills. Now there are fewer and fewer people who can master this skill, mainly distributed in Xiajiazhuang, Guangzong County and several surrounding villages. Xiajiazhuang Village has a long history of cotton planting. Every family has a weaving woman, and it is a famous textile village. Women of all ages use hand spinning, hand weaving, hand chopping, and hand dyeing to make quilts, bundles, foot straps and other daily necessities. It has the characteristics of dirt resistance, wear resistance, firmness, practicality, and auspicious patterns. For a long time, it has been passed down and has become one of the most representative folk traditional handicrafts. It is said that during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, a woman from outside came to marry Xiajiazhuang. She was clever and worked day and night for her livelihood. Combined with the weaving skills at that time, after years of practice, she gradually formed the weaving and chopping skills that have been passed down now, and there are many weaving and chopping patterns, which have been passed down from generation to generation. After years of improvement, the cloth can be woven into large floral cloth of different thickness, width and color by using different thickness and color of warp and weft threads and multiple shuttles under completely manual operation. Every time foreign friends come to Guangzong, they go to Xiajiazhuang to buy handmade floral cloth, baggage belts and ankle straps. In the course of historical development, cloth is a necessity for farmers and one of their main sources of income. It was relatively prosperous before the 1970s, but gradually decreased after the 1980s, resulting in a situation where there are only a few people engaged in the industry now.
