Xianzi Opera, also known as Dengbojin Opera, was created around the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. It is the predecessor of the Sixian Opera and a local opera unique to Jieze County. It was active in Taiyuan, Shijiazhuang, Xingtai, Handan and other areas in Shanxi Province in the early days, and is now preserved in Hanguying Village, Jieze County. Xianzi Opera is a big drama, belonging to Bangzi Opera. Opera is more complicated than Sixian singing. The tune is high-pitched and bright, and the melody is smooth, especially the dragging tune after the sentence, which jumps up and down, and the front is true and the back is false, and the front and back echo each other, with a unique artistic style. There are slow, fast, scattered, flowing, two, head, reverse (wawa tune), duokouxu, Ergong tune, etc. In the early days, the civil and military fields were mainly accompanied by banhu, pipa, board, leather drum, gong, drum, cymbals, hand gong, etc., and then erhu, flute, etc. were added. The roles are complete, including old male, young male, red male, green female, young female, colorful female, old female, big face, second face, painted face and other roles. The main traditional repertoires include "Swearing at the Palace", "Anti-Yunnan", "Kunshan", "Conquest of the West", "Going Down to Cold Frontier", "Going Down to Hexi", "Meishan", "Yulin Mansion", "Fighting Birds", "Visiting the Palace", "Xu Yanzhao Fighting the Court", "Zhao Kuangyin Going Down to Hedong", etc. From 1968 to 1975, the village established a literary and artistic propaganda team and choreographed modern dramas such as "Sha Jia Bang", "Red Lantern", and "Red Sister-in-law". Xianzi Opera has been passed down from generation to generation, and has formed its unique artistic style through reform, innovation and development, especially its singing style: true at the beginning and false at the end, dragging up and down, and it is unique. Xianzi Opera has a long history. In the 1950s and 1970s, Xianzi Opera reached its peak and was a flower active in the theater of our Yanzhao land. It originated from the folks, serves the people, and is deeply loved by the people. Therefore, its inheritance and development have extremely important artistic and practical value. In recent years, with the acceleration of modernization, people's value orientation and aesthetic concepts have undergone tremendous changes, and the living space of opera has become increasingly narrow. Xianziqiang opera is no exception and is in urgent need of support and rescue.
