Jin style Leting drum
Jin-style Leting Drum (selected into the third batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage list of Hebei Province in 2009) The origin of Leting Drum can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty. After continuous development in the Tang, Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties, it was transformed into drum lyrics in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. Leting Drum is a better form of folk art that inherits and develops drum lyrics. It is a product of the times of my country's historical and cultural development and an inevitable result of the development of rap art. Leting Drum in today's sense originated in Luanzhou (Luannan County was originally part of Luanzhou) and Leting countryside around 1845. It draws on the strengths of various traditional rap arts and absorbs some singing styles of local folk songs and operas, forming a unique singing style and style, using local accents to sing and sing, accompanied by three strings, iron plates and drums. In 1845, Feng Fuchang (Feng Tieban) from Luannan abandoned wooden boards and used iron boards to beat the rhythm and accompany singing. The singing style and board style were updated, and the Leting drum became famous. Feng Fuchang became an important founder of Leting drum. The Jin School of Leting drum art has a strong melody, is gentle and melodious, and has rich voice and emotion; it breaks through the traditional "board up and board down" singing method, and skillfully uses flexible and changeable new singing methods such as slow board and grab board; boldly absorbs the nutrition of sister arts to form a complete Jin School of Leting drum art system. The Jin School of Leting drum has a great influence in eastern Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin and the three northeastern provinces. It is the main cultural entertainment form of Luannan people. Leting drum art was created by several generations of quyi artists through difficult exploration and artistic practice. It inherits the strengths of the Chinese nation's storytelling art, and absorbs certain tones of local folk songs and operas, forming a unique singing style. It is sung in local accent, with accompaniment of sanxian, iron (copper) plates, and drums. It is a type of folk art that can tell long stories or sing short pieces. It has excellent narrative and lyrical features, and is both lingering and bold. It is deeply loved by the masses. Its basic characteristics are: the procedural characteristics of singing relatively fixed repertoires according to different performance occasions and audience groups; the multi-source characteristics of tunes formed by extensive absorption of hawking tunes, mourning tunes, labor songs, etc., and borrowing from shadow puppets and Pingju operas that originated locally; the characteristics of flexible and free conversion of banqiang by using the techniques of changing the banyan and speed and expanding the banqiang and adding flowers; the characteristics of relatively independent and mutually integrated singing styles with a variety of rich and colorful modes and tonalities that alternate with each other; the legendary characteristics of the uncertain origin of the name; the singing music is derived from local dialects and folk songs, and has strong regional characteristics; the complete, standardized, skillful and varied drum and board routines complement each other with various singing styles.
