Yongzhou Jianchang Gongs and Drums (the fourth batch at the provincial level) Jianchang Gongs and Drums originated in the Qing Dynasty. They are used by the people of Yongxiu for worshipping gods and ancestors, playing dragon lanterns, playing music, and holding festivals in the first month of the year. Jianchang Gongs and Drums consist of nearly 20 tunes, including Tianguantou, Changchui, Chuzitou Variation Series, Shuangwuchui, Danwuchui, Shuangfengdian, Danfengdian, Yichui, Erchui, Chuanchui, Shuidianyu, Baochui, Ouchui, Paomatou, Banbianqiao, etc. Tianguantou and Chuzitou are hooked and connected appropriately according to the scene. The current arrangement is nine people playing: Sigu (one person plays the bangu and the hall drum), Chuanchai (2), Raochai (1), Maluo (2), Xiaoluo (1), Daluo (2). The drum is the core, Daluo and Chuanchai are the skeleton, Raochai and Maluo correspond to Chuanchai, and Xiaoluo is bright and lively, playing a harmonizing role.
