Yangshuo's community day is divided into spring community and autumn community (the fifth day of the fifth month after the beginning of spring is the spring community, and the fifth day of the fifth month after the beginning of autumn is the autumn community), which are generally held between the second and eighth months of the lunar calendar. In Yangshuo rural areas, there is a popular saying that "being an official for three years is not as good as playing community for one day". Because in every village, regardless of whether they are rich or poor, there are at least ten households, and at most twenty or thirty households. In order to handle funerals for each other, they must gather on community days to "eat community" (one man per household), and sign a contract for handling funerals in a year, stipulating the amount of money and food that each household should contribute to the funeral host in that year, and being responsible for carrying the coffin for the funeral is an obligation. It is commonly known as the "Ten Friends Society" in rural areas. Anyone who does not participate in the "eating community" will be expelled from the "Ten Friends Society", and the members of the society will no longer be responsible for handling his family's funeral. Nowadays, some red and white councils have emerged in rural areas, which have more functions than the "Ten Friends" Association, but the "Ten Friends" Society still exists and continues to play a role.
