"It is better to play the community for one day than to be an official for three years." This statement fully illustrates the importance of the "community" day. The history of the "February Community" and "August Community" in various towns and villages in Yangshuo has been more than a thousand years. "Community" is a festival for worshipping the Bodhisattva of Community King, which is more important than ordinary festivals in the minds of ordinary people. In various places in Yangshuo, the community day has actually become a big gathering of "Ten Friends" men, under the name of "eating the community". This is a folk association organization for mutual help, which is a good tradition passed down for thousands of years in rural Yangshuo. In the village, as long as you join the "Ten Friends" community, after your elderly family passes away, there will be someone to help with all the funeral affairs, from burial, guest announcement, evening party, to burial, everything is done properly and perfectly. Nowadays, some red and white councils have emerged in rural areas, which have more functions than the "Ten Friends" association, but the "Ten Friends" association still exists and continues to play a role.
