The sixth day of the sixth lunar month is the "Hehuang Festival", also known as the "Birthday of the Field Head Man", "Zhongtian Festival" and "Tianfu Festival". Every household prepares three kinds of animals and wine to worship the "Field Head Man" in the field. After the worship, go into the field to pick a few ripe ears of rice and hang them on the door of the hall and the shrine to announce the good news to the ancestors and invite them to taste the new rice. The Han people in Liantang Town regard this day as the "Zhongtian Festival". Every household prepares wine and meat to worship the judge Zhong Liqin of the Liqin Temple and pray for a good harvest. It has become one of the largest temple fairs in the county. From the first to the sixth day of June, offerings are made to the gods. The Zhuang people in Nanxiang regard the sixth day of the sixth lunar month as the "Tianfu Festival". "Tianfu" grants a good harvest, and everyone is very happy, so every family makes rice dumplings and enjoys eating. The Han people in Daping Township regard the second day of the sixth lunar month as the "Qiuhan (full grain) Festival", offering wine and meat to heaven and earth and ancestors to bless the fullness of rice grains.
