On the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, at the Xiangjiang Sixth "Harmony is the Most Important" Dragon Boat Festival in Watang Town, Gangnan District, 8 local dragon boat teams competed on the Xiangjiang River. After three rounds of fierce competition, the Tancun team won the championship. At noon that day, the Xiangjiang Village Pier was crowded with people, and the crowds on both sides of the river stretched from the old Xiangjiang Pier to the bottom of the highway bridge, creating an unprecedented grand occasion. The spectators were looking forward to this sports event that combines fun, tradition, folklore and competition. At half past eleven, as the referee issued the order, the oars of each team were inserted into the water almost at the same time, and the dragon boats rushed forward like a 100-meter sprint. The contestants on the river paddled hard and sprinted, and the audience on the river bank cheered and cheered one after another, and the scene was very lively. It is understood that this year is the sixth consecutive "Harmony is the Most Valuable" Dragon Boat Race held in the local area. There are 8 dragon boat teams from Xiangjiang, Xinjiang and Shangjiang villages participating. Each team consists of 20 athletes, 1 drummer and 1 helmsman. The competition is divided into 3 rounds, using a points system, and the ranking is determined by the total points of the 3 rounds. In the end, the Tancun team won the first place, Xialai and Yaocun teams tied for the second place, and the Shanglai team won the third place.
