Qixian shadow play in Jinhui Town, Fengxian District belongs to the Haining School of Zhejiang Province. It is performed in the local dialect, and its drawings and engravings are unique. Qixian shadow play has a history of more than 100 years. After the 1930s, it was the heyday of the team. There are more than 10 plays that are often performed all night long, and the performances are continuous. The singing style based on local folk songs, plus the accompaniment of blowing, pulling, playing and beating instruments, has formed the unique art of Shanghai Pudong shadow play performance, which has a high cultural value. In 2007, it was listed as the first batch of Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage List items.
