Tianguan Painting
Tianchang "Tianguan Painting" originated in the 1660s, and has a history of more than 340 years. Over the past 340 years, Tianchang "Tianguan Painting" has been continuously inherited by artists of all generations, and has gone through three development stages, gradually forming a unique program and style with its own unique characteristics. Tianguan Painting uses white cotton cloth and rice paper as the painting materials, and the character modeling has a traditional painting manual. In terms of form, there are large-color paintings, small-color paintings, and ink-color paintings. In terms of painting methods, one is to absorb the techniques of fine brushwork (outline), the second is to incorporate the popular style and techniques of woodblock New Year paintings (flat painting method), the third is to absorb the colors of Buddhist and Taoist paintings (mainly unit colors), and the fourth is to absorb the painting style of murals of all dynasties, which is very decorative and deeply loved by the public. In terms of form, there are Tianguan images, hall gods, five halls, and three halls. In addition, there are dozens of other types of gods, such as the God of Fortune, the God of Wealth, the God of Disaster, the God of Peace, the God of Childbirth, the God of Treasure, the God of Home Guardian, and the God of Water. The themes of the God of Fortune alone are divided into many categories, such as the God of Wealth, the God of Wealth, the God of Treasure, the God of Wealth with Golden Whips, the God of Wealth on Three Roads, the God of Wealth on Nine Roads, and the God of Wealth on Water. In terms of content, it mainly promotes the truth, goodness, and beauty of the world, and reflects the people's spiritual appeal for peace, auspiciousness, wealth, and happiness. Tianchang's "Tianguan Paintings" are widely used in home hangings, store openings, new home completions, vehicle travel, fishing boats sailing, childbirth, family tree continuation, etc., expressing a common theme, that is, the good wishes of the general public for real life.
