The folk custom of Xi'an Duchenghuang Temple is an ancient Chinese folk custom. Xi'an Duchenghuang Temple is located in the middle section of Xidajie, Xi'an. It was built in 1387 AD (the 20th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty), and has a history of more than 600 years since the 21st century. As an important deity widely worshipped in Chinese national religious culture, Chenghuang is played by famous officials and heroes who have made contributions to the local people. He is the god of guarding the city believed by Chinese folk and Taoism. Xi'an is bordered by the Weihe River in the north and the Qinling Mountains in the south. More than a dozen dynasties have built their capitals here in history, and it can be called the cradle of Chinese civilization. Xi'an has well-preserved Ming Dynasty city walls, cities, and Duchenghuang Temple. This unique cultural landscape is unique in the country. Xi'an is the starting point of the ancient "Silk Road" and the confluence of the north-south artery and the east-west artery. Every old Xi'an person has an inexplicable affection for the Duchenghuang Temple located on Xidajie, Xi'an. The folk custom temple fair of the Chenghuang Temple is an unforgettable memory in the hearts of many Xi'an people. The temple fair has always been a landscape of the Chenghuang Temple. The Spring Festival and April 8 folk temple fairs in Xi'an City God Temple were once very prosperous, with huge crowds of people, all kinds of people came in an endless stream, performing different life dramas. The temple fairs were full of Qinqiang, Daoqing, drum music, folk songs, martial arts acrobatics, famous paintings and calligraphy, and blessing ceremonies. The scene described in the folk songs is that the City God Temple is nine miles and three kilometers long, and all kinds of businesses are traded in it, from silk and satin to cattle cages and saddles.
