The Ke-style Gaojia Opera Chou Xing Performance Art, also known as Ke Xianxi Performance Art, was formed in 1930, when Ke was known as "the first clown in southern Fujian" and "the king of clowns". The Ke-style Gaojia Opera Chou Xing Performance Art is divided into male and female clowns. Male clowns include rag-shirt clowns, young clowns, puppet clowns, clothing clowns, and servant clowns. Female clowns are the most distinctive when played by men, especially female clowns, who perform hot, warm, exaggerated, and humorous performances with a strong mountain flavor. They have always been popular among the people in southern Fujian with their popular appearance. The Ke-style Gaojia Opera Chou Xing Performance Art is the most representative main school of Gaojia Opera. It sings opera texts with Quanqiang strings and pipes. In addition to the characteristics of Gaojia Opera that are good at learning from others and eclecticism, it also has its own unique artistic style and performance characteristics. The Ke School's performances can finely distinguish the different characteristics of women from 18-year-old girls to women in their twenties and thirties, and even seventies and eighties, forming different performance routines for the charm and posture of women of different ages. They also compiled "Eighteen Methods of Female Clowns" to describe a complete set of performance skills, forming the main teaching materials of the Ke School's performance art. The Ke School's Gaojia Opera clown performance art is lifelike, and the performance depicts the spirit with the form, pursues the spirit, and depicts the beauty with ugliness, and combines solemnity with humor. It has surpassed the limitations of ordinary clowns' gags and jokes. It is a witness and epitome of the development of the Minnan dialect society, a precious treasure of Minnan's history and culture, and has high historical and cultural value.
