The art of embroidery in China has a long history. Documents record that it was created by Yu Shun, but archaeological relics have only been found in the Shang and Zhou dynasties. The original purpose of embroidery was to use clothes to represent status and serve as a political auxiliary tool. As early as ancient times, it was born with jade, pottery and fabrics. The Song Dynasty was rich in silk, colorful brocade and colorful flower threads, which created favorable conditions for the development of embroidery. After the Song Dynasty, with the further development of southern China, embroidered silk was exported to Europe and other places.
