On the second and third day of July every year, a grand water village temple fair is held in the east and west of Lingzhi Town. The event is initiated by Chen Shuizhen, the host of Xinglong Temple in Yangdu Village, and the surrounding people. According to legend, there was a Marshal Huang who defended the border and protected the country's peace. Because of his meritorious service in defending the land, his descendants worshipped him and regarded him as a Bodhisattva after his death. On the second day of July every year, the surrounding people spontaneously held sacrificial activities. Early that day, the people used boats to invite Marshal Huang, who was in Xinglong Temple, out and carried him along the villages. There were four boats in the fleet. The first one was a dragon boat, called the message boat, which led the way. The second one was the lieutenant boat, the third one was the white god boat, and the fourth one was the Bodhisattva boat, which carried Marshal Huang Bodhisattva. There were drummers at the bow of the dragon boat. The fleet set off with the dragon boat leading the way. The villages they passed through built altars at the riverside.
