Luqiao meteorological proverbs are folk proverbs circulated in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. They are the life experience accumulated by local people in their daily lives and the crystallization of the practice and wisdom of the working people. Luqiao, Taizhou, Zhejiang Province is located on the southeast coast and is often invaded by -, which makes farmers complain bitterly. After a flood, local farmers represented by Lin Zhiyao began to pay attention to weather changes, collect various meteorological books and periodicals, and began to keep a weather diary. Lin Zhiyao often went to ask old fishermen, old gate workers, old boatmen, and old farmers for advice. From them and his own careful observation, he collected and figured out more than 390 folk meteorological proverbs and 92 phenological proverbs. Thus, Luqiao meteorological proverbs were formed and included in the Zhejiang Province Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection List. Among them, "Pig head clouds in the east, typhoons are coming", "Bean sprout clouds in the sky, people are sunburned to death on the ground", "Shower clouds in the morning, people are sunburned to death in the afternoon" and other meteorological proverbs have been made into more than 120 wall charts.
